Sertifikasi Pertanian organik Indonesia

Abstract


Pertanian organik adalah metode menanam produk pertanian tanpa menggunakan bahan kimia berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia atau lingkungan; sebagai gantinya, zat organik yang disetujui, pemupukan hijau, pergantian, dan metode pengendalian biologis digunakan. Produk organik diperiksa dan disertifikasi pada setiap tahap produksi dan penjualan oleh lembaga inspeksi dan sertifikasi yang terakreditasi.

Dari penyediaan input hingga tahap akhir pemasaran, produsen menerima pelatihan dan layanan penyuluhan yang tepat. Pertanian organik adalah sistem produksi pertanian yang mengandalkan proses dan sumber daya alam, bukan bahan kimia (seperti pupuk atau pestisida) atau organisme hasil rekayasa genetika (GMO), untuk menghasilkan makanan yang lebih sehat dan bergizi sekaligus melindungi kesuburan tanah, mencegah penyebaran hama, dan menghargai lingkungan. Ini adalah sistem yang, alih-alih mengandalkan input pertanian, menerapkan praktik khusus yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik unik setiap ekosistem.
