PENGEMBANGAN KARET ALAM DENGAN BAHAN PENGISI DAN BAHAN PELUNAK MENJADI TUBE COLLAR

Abstract


Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan karet alam dengan bahan pengisi penguat carbon black dari cangkang sawit, bahan pengisi penambah volume kalsium karbonat, kaolin, dan bahan pelunak dari minyak sayur turunan dari minyak sawit menjadi tube collar. Percobaan terdiri dari 5 formula (TC-1, TC-2, TC-3, TC-4, and TC-5) menggunakan carbon black: 48; 50; 52; 54; dan 56 phr, CaCO3: 44; 46;48; 50; dan 52 phr, kaolin: 30; 32; 34; 36; dan 38 phr, minyak sayur : 4,5; 5,75; 6,75; 7,75; dan 8,75. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk formula TC-4 massa jenis 1,368 g/cm3; kekerasan 58,8 Shore A; pemampatan tetap 11,01%; tegangan putus 26,63 MPa.
