PENELITIAN PENGGUNAAN ANTI BUIH TERHADAP DETERJEN (DEGREASING AGENT) DAN PENGOLAHAN AIR LIMBAH INDUSTRI PENYAMAKAN KULIT

Abstract


Has done research on the anti-foam to reduce foam to 4 (four) kinds of detergents commonly used for degreasing agent (a type of detergent) in the leather tanning process. This study aims to find ways to overcome foaming problems that occur in wastewater treatment (WWTP) in which the leather tanning industry in the leather tanning process using a degreasing agent always to eliminate fat in the skin. Two kinds of anti-foam used in this study to reduce foaming of the four kinds of detergents (degreasing agent) is neopalin, gelon PK, teepol and tergolik A. To four different Deterjent made solution with a concentration of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3%, then drops anti froth until its volume is stable. Teepol at least cause frothing and buihnya easily overcome. Studies continue to try to apply the anti froth into the skin in wastewater aeration and activated sludge plus. Basically all foam anti foam can be lowered. Experiment with using leather waste water and activated sludge showed that the larger the activated sludge is used then the scum that arises less and less, and of course this reduces the use of anti-foam.
